MY WATER BAPTISM!

Water Baptism - Many People Ask If It's Required for Salvation.....
I believe baptism isn't an act that gets us into heaven but it is faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord that offers that assurance. Baptism (by full immersion as taught in the Bible) is an act of obedience that should be an immediate part of our acceptance of the gift of grace offered by Jesus Christ.

True faith in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross for our sins is sufficient for salvation. Christ has already done everything. By definition, His grace doesn't require any additional "works" by us. That being said, Jesus Christ commands us to be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20), and therefore, all believers should be baptized.

According to the Bible, the symbolism of baptism declares that three things happen to believers who are baptized:

1. They die with Christ to their old self
2. They rise with Christ to become a new creature; and

3. They are incorporated in their new life with a living community which looks for the coming of the Lord (Romans 6:1-11).

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age'" (Matthew 28:18-20).

On the 6 June 2009, 9:15 a.m. I had my baptism! My mum told me I got baptized when was little but knew close to nothing about it and the significance of it was lost to me. So I decided to get water again now it means so much more to me. I praised toe Lord for the opportunity. Furthermore, there was no 3 month membership/baptism and confirmation class. It was just a 6 week church membership class and a night class with my shepherd.

My beloved life-group was so sweet to turn up and witness it! I would not trade this for anything....
My loving mum and bro was there too. To make it more fun, its winter! And its 9a.m.! The water was FREEZING COLD! I could not even speak properly. LoL

Started off with Kelvin sharing from Acts 8:26-40 Then a prayer

Testing out the water.

It was frezzing cold

Waiting for Josh. More freezing to do.

Kelvin and Jason praying for me
The shivering prayer.
The submersion. Backwards.

DOUBLE O RAISER!

Gundam OO season 2 just finished today and so far it is the best season of Gundam so far. To top it off, there is going to be a movie released by Sunrise in 2010. Cant think of a better way to celebrate the 30 years anniversary of Gundam!

Feeling so high after watching that last episode! Thus, I had to take pictures of my OO Gundam!

That is just the box of OO Gundam. As for the O raiser box, I left it back in Malaysia.

Big thanks goes to my beloved cousin Daniel for buying the O-raiser for me as a going away present. Yea..3 mths ago.Yea. Thats us trying to protect our food during chinese new year from his mum.

I thought I tried taking pictures of this one under a bright yellow light at night.

The legs are no doubt the most flexible as compared to all the previous Gundams thus far.

I shot it on my table without a stand

Rear View
If U are trying to figure out what my phone is, its a Sony E K618i
But don't look at the phone, look at the gundam!

The main features of OO Gundam are the twin drivers. After all, they did name the whole series GUNDAM Double O

The Gn-Sword 2. I still think the first Gn-sword is cooler. But OO has two Gn-Swords

It can be used as a sword or a gun

You can call this an upgraded and way improved version of Gundam Exia.

The Gn-Shield from Exia has also been upgraded to Gn-Shield 2.

It can be used as claws

It can be either connected or seperated.

When I first saw OO Gundam, I thought it was cool but I wondered why there was no big back packs like all Gundams. Then came,

The O-RAISER!

Its a plane that attaches to the back of OO

Docking Mode.

Double O Raiser!
The sides are very very VERY flimsy.
Specially after u connect the sides of the O raiser to it.
Not a very solid product.
Thus I got tired of it falling off, I just stuck the plane on without removing the sides
The body itself is also very loosely attached.
See what I mean....

When the sides of the plane is attached, the sides become very heavy.
But, it still looks cool.
I'm sure they will make one in Master Grade
since this is such a popular high profile Gundam.
Just a matter of time.

DOW2!!!!

What have I been up to for the past two weeks? Well, killing Orcs, Eldar and Tyranids!
Finally la. The long wait is over! Dawn of War 2 was released and I managed to get my hands on it!

This game is very different from DOW1 in many many ways.
If you have been missing out, its time for you to get it! Even if you are not a Warhammer 40k fan, you will still like this game!

The game play is more on strategic placing of a few squads of men. Rather then the constant micro and running around of alot of men in DOW. The Storyline is quite short but good. Some missions repeat themselves. Its pretty much allows you to level up and get nice items

The skirmishes can be quite a pain. There is only one main building which produces all the units. Again this is trying to get the players to focus on unit placements rather than building stuff. But the main building takes forever to take down! Even if you park your entire army in front and fire, it will take you forever to bring it down.

This is really going to set the bar for starcraft 2 which never seems to come out!

If you play this long enough, you will want to be a space marine yourself. For the Emperor!

Mexican Night Outreach!!

Evangelism....one of my favorite topics and something I am still trying to improve.
Evangelism. The main Vision of Hope Brisbane Christian Church.(Fulfill the Great Commission)

And thus, J4 (The cell/Life group I'm in), having reaching out and evangelizing in mind, threw a party themed Mexican Night. I personally found it a very interesting and different way to reach out and touch lives for Christ. There was very little mention of Christianity, the main purpose was to build a solid friendship by going out of the way for them, and then only hit them with the message of the gospel of Christ.

Coming from a Methodist Church (I miss you all!) and a CF from SMKSU(I miss you all also!), I was tempted to share about Christ and Bible-bash them but decided to try this strategy which was new to me.

Praise and Thank the Lord that it went very well. Turn was was pretty good and there were no big problems. Had fun getting to know different people of different races that come from different country. Of course, I found it easier to connect to none other than, Malaysians! So nice to share so many topics in common.

Great time getting to know each other

I don't seem to remember the names.....

Mealtime
Josh
Cell Leaders Jason and Kelvin
The food. Well, the left overs. They ate so fast I could not take a picture in time
Danu and Nicole. Danu is from Msia! He lives in SS 14

Kelvin and his sister Rachel
I too invited two people from BBC. Alex from South Africa and David.
This Picture says I'm short!

Andrei from South Africa. He is so famous he has a fan

Flora on registration.
I salute her for not eating the whole night.
Amazing example of commitment.

Ready for games.

Game-master

Started off with a name-calling game

Charades
We played one name game and two action game
It was hilarious

All in all it was a terrific night of out reach. I am learning a lot about touching souls for Christ. Can't wait for the follow up next week. A day trip to Sunshine Coast
